All members of Newick Badminton Club have the opportunity of playing in league matches if they so desire, and we encourage our members to attain the necessary standard. We have a simple process for team selection, which is initially based on member’s desire to play league badminton. 

Currently we have mixed teams, but Ladies and Men’s divisions are available in the leagues if the Club decides that we can support entering a team. This process starts early in the badminton season and matches generally begin in early October. Newick home matches are played on Wednesday nights starting at 7.15pm in Newick Village Hall. All members of Newick Badminton Club are automatically affiliated to Badminton England, which is Badminton’s UK governing body. This ensures that every club member has a basic level of insurance cover whilst playing club and league badminton, and also entitles members to other benefits including a quarterly badminton magazine.
